L2 Summit in Charlotte Next Month

The Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County—which has a 'Gaming Zone' and a Gaming Zone @ PLCMC blog—is extending an invitation to staff from neighboring libraries to join PLCMC staff for a Technology Summit on Library 2.0 early next month (August 3, 2006).The afternoon session will feature Michael Stephens (Tame the Web) and Michael Casey (Library Crunch) and include such sessions as: "Toward Library 2.0: Planning, People & Participation" (Michael Stephens); "Library 2.0/Web 2.0 Technologies at the Branch Level" (Michael Casey); and PLCMC director of public services technology Helene Blowers will present "Learning 2.0."
